"About three week ago I stopped into the new PB location. WOW!!!!!!! I am totally impressed! The staff is great. The coffee is up to BRCR's high standards, (had the 94-point roast this morning!). Love the look and layout. You even carry my favorite snack food, MUSH! Most impressive are the fresh-baked goodies. Sean and Justin are doing phenomenal work. Everything I've had there has been exceptional. It's not just the flavors, which are absolutely great, especially in the AM when it is coming right out of the oven, but the textures that really knocks my socks off. • The focaccia is light and airy, not dense and chewy like most places make. • The scones as soft and rich and such an cut above the standard American dry, crumbly style. • Same for the muffins: airy and delicate. • The brioche used in the Bostock is wonderful. • This morning I had Justin's pumpkin pie. I'm a huge pie-crust snoot and his pie pastry is absolutely PERFECT: flaky without being dry or crumbly, buttery, rich and light. WOW! Simply WOW! Honestly, I think those guys are making the best baked goods in San Diego right now!" Richard, Spahl
